Cream bassist Jack Bruce teams with famed guitarist Robin Trower for psychedelic blues on ‘Seven Moons’. Jim Trageser from Turbula Magazine recently wrote an excellent review of the Psychedelic Mooj debut CD. He writes very fondly of the music as “as good as what we got from those great early ’70s heavy blues”. The music is compared to that of early psychedelic blues greats such as Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash, Robin Trower, Savoy Brown and Humble Pie. For those who don’t know, Robin Trower is coming to the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ on 09/24/06. I’ve blown the dust off of my “Bridge of Sighs” record and it sounds great as ever. I saw Psychedelic Mooj play at the Loft in Tempe last week. What a show! Their sound is raw and powerful with blistering guitar work. The music is a blend of rock, jazz, funk and country in a melange of psychedelic blues. Psychedelic Mooj is opening for Robin Trower at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ on September 24, 2006.
